Connor began his physiotherapy journey as a patient. After completing his undergraduate degree, he spent several years investing his time and energy into climbing and skiing. Unfortunately, he had a serious accident while climbing in New Zealand that took a substantial amount of rehabilitation to come back from. Through this process, he discovered the power that physiotherapy has to empower people to realize the healing potential of their bodies. He was soon back to doing the things he loved, and after a few years decided to pursue physiotherapy as a career.

Connor had been living in Canmore, but moved back to the Calgary area when he began this process and actually worked at the desk here at Restorative while he completed pre-requisite courses and waited for acceptance into school. He is thrilled to be back joining the team. Connor’s sessions focus on education about your condition, hands on treatment, and functional exercise. He will also take the time to get to know you, because you are more than just an injury. The journey to recovery is rarely just physical, and he believes that by listening to his patients stories and considering the other circumstances in their lives, the emotional component of an injury can also be addressed. Each person will be different, so he will tailor a treatment plan to help you easily incorporate physiotherapy into your day and to make movement a daily practice. While he enjoys treating all kinds of conditions, Connor has a particular interest in hand therapy, knee surgery rehab, and pain science.

Outside the clinic, Connor can be found moving in the mountains. Climbing rock in the summer and ice in the winter are his biggest passions, but he also enjoys mountain biking, cross country skiing, and backcountry skiing. He also has come to thoroughly enjoy his own physiotherapy program in the gym, which these days just feels like a really good workout.
