Kate’s mission is to provide empowering education, meaningful connection and individualized care for every client who walks in the door.

She understands the importance of feeling seen and heard within the medical system. Your unique story matters, and she will take the time to listen and help uncover your personal goals to shape your plan of care. Her approach to rehabilitation is rooted in the belief that rehab should be a collaborative process, not only between you and her, but also with the other practitioners at Restorative and beyond to ensure you receive the best care possible.

Kate has a strong background in sports and athletics, and grew up competing in track and field, volleyball, basketball, and rugby. She worked as a group fitness instructor throughout her schooling, and continues to incorporate this love for coaching and community into her Movement Classes at Restorative.

Kate believes that movement is essential, not only for recovering from injury but for enhancing overall quality of life. During physiotherapy sessions with her, you can expect a combination of education and exercise, supplemented by targeted hands-on treatment and dry needling if indicated.

Kate has a particular passion and specialized training in assessing and treating pelvic floor conditions, including urinary incontinence, pelvic prolapse, pelvic pain, pain during intercourse, pregnancy and postpartum challenges, and menopausal changes to the pelvis. This area of health is vital to one’s well being and has often been overlooked, minimized, and shamed within the medical system. She is committed to changing that narrative and providing the care and support you deserve.

Kate’s other favorite treatment areas include:

  • shoulders
  • hips
  • necks and backs
  • running-related injuries

When she’s not in the clinic, Kate is an avid explorer who is always seeking new experiences. Connor began his physiotherapy journey as a patient. After completing his undergraduate degree, he spent several years investing his time and energy into climbing and skiing. Unfortunately, he had a serious accident while climbing in New Zealand that took a substantial amount of rehabilitation to come back from. Through this process, he discovered the power that physiotherapy has to empower people to realize the healing potential of their bodies. He was soon back to doing the things he loved, and after a few years decided to pursue physiotherapy as a career.

Connor had been living in Canmore, but moved back to the Calgary area when he began this process and actually worked at the desk here at Restorative while he completed pre-requisite courses and waited for acceptance into school. He is thrilled to be back joining the team. Connor’s sessions focus on education about your condition, hands on treatment, and functional exercise. He will also take the time to get to know you, because you are more than just an injury. The journey to recovery is rarely just physical, and he believes that by listening to his patients stories and considering the other circumstances in their lives, the emotional component of an injury can also be addressed. Each person will be different, so he will tailor a treatment plan to help you easily incorporate physiotherapy into your day and to make movement a daily practice. While he enjoys treating all kinds of conditions, Connor has a particular interest in hand therapy, knee surgery rehab, and pain science.

Outside the clinic, Connor can be found moving in the mountains. Climbing rock in the summer and ice in the winter are his biggest passions, but he also enjoys mountain biking, cross country skiing, and backcountry skiing. He also has come to thoroughly enjoy his own physiotherapy program in the gym, which these days just feels like a really good workout.
